Les Voiles de Saint Tropez 2015
Wow what a week, a perfect week if you need to put some weight on! The relentless wind that kept the classics stern-to inside the harbour meant that we, (I say collectively – various crew were involved) dined out in what felt like every joint possible in Saint-Tropez, tasting enough Rosé to float a small boat of our own while it howled for days.
Photos from 2015 are here, there aren't many as the first opportunity I got to take a driver out and brave the "mistle", I broke my Canon 5D Mark III! Guess that's what happens when the other photographers generally go hiding in their hotel rooms and you're chomping at the bit to capture these boats in less than pleasant but slightly wild conditions.
Big love and huge thanks goes to Luke Whyburd, a Mersea Islander that drove me on this occassion, putting up with my notorious signals for this way, that way, 'come up wind's, 'bear away's – good job he's a sailor.
